Tomorrow, the population census will start, a developmental step that has been delayed for years

Iraqi Prime Minister Mohammed Shia al-Sudani announced that tomorrow, Wednesday, will witness the launch of the general population and housing census, which is a long-awaited civilized step. He stressed that the census will be conducted using modern electronic means to provide accurate data that supports development decisions and serves the most needy segments. He also stressed that the census has nothing to do with taxes or social protection, but rather represents a pillar for development in all sectors. Al-Sudani praised the efforts of the Ministry of Planning, the Statistics Authority, and the security services, and thanked the support of the United Nations Population Fund, calling on citizens to cooperate to make this vital project a success.
